Discover Paradise in Scottsdale: Embracing Nature, Work, and Relaxation

Unveiling the Majestic Cacti, Lush Succulent Gardens, and Unforgettable Experiences

February in Scottsdale is an absolute delight, with a plethora of wonders waiting to be explored.  The majestic cacti and succulent gardens create a mesmerizing landscape that transports you back in time.  As a bird-watching enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of diverse avian life thriving in this captivating oasis.

During my stay at Camelback Inn Resort and Spa, I relished in the perfect balance of work and leisure.  Nestled in the signature view casita, I was treated to spectacular vistas that inspired and refreshed me throughout my remote workdays.  whether working on the porch or taking short strolls through the resort during breaks, the serene atmosphere added a touch of tranquility to my professional endeavors.

Rita’s Cantina & Bar became my go-to spot to unwind at the end fo the day.  With breathtaking views, delightful cocktails, and mouthwatering sliders, it provided the perfect ambiance to mingle wit both locals and business guests.  The outstanding breakfast was tempting, but I couldn’t resist starting my mornings with a peppermint mocha from the Starbucks on-site.

One unforgettable evening, I basked in the stunning sunset at the Lincoln Steakhouse & Bar before savoring a delectable medium rare wagyu steak, completed by mushrooms and a baked potato, followed by my favorite, a French Martini.

The resort proved to be a hub for various business conferences, where I had the opportunity to interact with esteemed professionals, including some well-known personalities (hint, hint it was Superbowl weekend), in a laid-back setting.  The diverse crowd added to the charm of the place, making it a unique experience.

Although I frequented the spa fitness center daily for my workouts, I regretted not indulging in the numerous delectable treatments they offered.  The resort’s location, between Mummy and Camelback Mountains, provided ample hiking trails for outdoor enthusiasts.  However, during winter, reptile sightings were a bit scarce due to the cooler temperatures.

As a self-identified bird-watching lover, I cherished every moment observing the Gambel’s “desert quail” with their distinct top knots, as well as the graceful Anna’s and Rufus hummingbirds feasting on aloe vera blooms.  I even encountered a memorable stroll throughout the “old town streets” with two Roadrunners, adding to the authenticity of the setting.

In retrospect, I look forward to future visits, making this oasis a yearly winter tradition.  Next time, I’ll embrace my girly side with a spa treatment and my nerdy side by bringing along my bird identification book, lounge by the heated pools in a bikini, and pamper myself with a spa treatment or two.  Scottsdale’s charm is truly irresistible, and I can’t wait to create more cherished memories in this enchanting paradise.
